Listen: 911 call reporting burglar stuck in chimney | 911

Seattle police have released the 911 recordings from people reporting that a would-be burglar was stuck in the chimney of a home on Seward Park Avenue.

In the calls, you can hear a passerby report that he heard a man screaming for help from inside the chimney.

"They're coming, so quit yelling! Save your energy," the caller tells the trapped man while on the phone with dispatchers.

Shon M. Shanell, 23, was stuck inside for nearly six  hours until Seattle firefighters managed to free him.

King County prosecutors have charged Shanell with attempted residential burglary.
